A glass bottomed walkway 4000 feet above the Grand Canyon. Eh. Even if I was not scared of heights this would be scary.
Imagine looking down, and seeing the floor of the Grand Canyon, while standing 70 feet away from the safe ground near the entrance. Although you are obviously flanked by metal bars, you are jutting out on a surface paved with “toughened glass”. One reporter who was at the opening said that the path wobbled slightly, and that the glass creaked. AGGHH.

The expensive project ($30 million) seems like the opportunists are asking for trouble. “May we pretty, pretty please have an accident, where a curious tourist falls off, or breaks through the glass?” Or maybe they owner is planning for the next James Bond/Indian Jones/Chuck Norris movie. Instead of Indiana Jones breaking through a poor backwater’s wooden bridge, he can fall through a poor backwater’s “toughened glass” and “creaking” Skywalk.
