Firefox List

July 21st, 2007

I open lots of tabs in Firefox, as some of you know.

I recently noticed a list of Firefox plugins, one of which would fix my woes.

From the authors description, he is exactly like me.

If you’re like me, you run with a lot of browser tabs open (I try to make time for a cleanup session when I get to 40 or 50 open tabs) and the first eight or ten are always the same. Why waste real estate on titles for those tabs? Faviconize shrinks those tabs down to just the width of the favicon.

Not to self, get a favicon.

What favicon should I get? Should I make one? Do you guys have any ideas?

What I did is actually take the sites that I always had open (your first 8 or 10) and used Camino for them. kept Firefox for the day to day stuff that moved around a lot, but for the blogs/sites i look at daily i keep them in a different browser

I contacted Chris about why he chose, Camino, and this is what he wrote.

well i have never really liked Safari and a friend recommended it via an article i wrote - just seems a little less cluttered/fussy than Safari - remember I only need it for a very basic task
